I am the Baseball Observer, the one, the original, the only. I started the first Colorado Rockies fan page back in 1994 when I could have had practically any domain name I wanted, including “coloradorockies.com” or “baseball.com” for that matter, but I picked “baseballobserver.com”. Now that I think back, maybe I could have made a better choice.
